2. Scope and acceptance

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and noscere regarding your use of the Site. By accessing or browsing the Site you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The Site currently offers free informational content only. It does not require an account, and we do not sell any products or services through it at this time. If and when we introduce paid reports or other paid features, we will publish additional terms covering pricing, ordering, delivery, your statutory right of withdrawal and refunds, and we will update these Terms accordingly before any such feature becomes available.

3. The service

noscere is a free, multilingual astrology content hub. We publish articles and reference material about astrological signs, elements, modalities, aspects, planets, houses and related topics, available in several languages.

The content is informational and editorial in nature. It is offered free of charge, "as is", and we may add to, change, or remove any part of it at any time without notice.

4. Astrology disclaimer

The content on the Site is provided for general information, self-reflection and entertainment. Astrology is a tradition of symbolic interpretation, not an exact science, and nothing on the Site is a statement of fact about any individual or about future events.

The content is not, and must not be relied upon as, professional advice of any kind. In particular, it does not constitute medical, psychological, mental health, financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. Any sections that touch on the body, health or wellbeing describe astrological tradition and symbolism only; they are not medical guidance, diagnosis or treatment.

You should always seek the advice of a qualified professional before making any decision affecting your health, finances, legal situation or wellbeing. Do not disregard, delay or discontinue professional advice because of something you have read on the Site. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact your local emergency services. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make and any actions you take based on the content.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:

  • copy, scrape, harvest or otherwise extract the content of the Site in bulk, whether manually or by automated means (such as bots, crawlers or scrapers), except for crawling and indexing that complies with the directives in our robots.txt file (which permits general-purpose search engines and the AI assistants we allow there);
  • republish, redistribute, sell, license, sublicense, broadcast or otherwise make the content available to the public, in whole or in part, on any other website, application, platform or medium;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or any connected systems or networks, or circumvent any technical measure we use to protect or restrict access to the Site;
  • introduce any virus, malware or other harmful code, or use the Site in any way that could damage, disable or impair it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Site or its underlying software, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including the text, articles, images, graphics, illustrations, layout, design, look and feel, logos, the "noscere" name and brand, and the selection, arrangement and organization of all of the above, is owned by noscere or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to access and read the content for your own personal, non-commercial use. This permission does not transfer any ownership or other rights to you.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by mandatory law (for example, limited quotation), you may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publish, display or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written permission. To request permission, contact hello@noscere.co.

7. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources that we do not own or control. We provide these links for convenience only. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse, the content, products, services, availability or privacy practices of any third-party site. Accessing a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms and policies.

8. No warranty

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, reliable or fit for any particular purpose, or that the Site will be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

We may suspend, restrict or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time, and we do not guarantee any particular level of availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Romanian and EU law, noscere will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, data or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, or your reliance on any content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for gross negligence (culpa gravă) or intentional fault (dol) under Romanian law. Your mandatory rights as a consumer under Romanian and EU law are not affected by these Terms.

10. Waitlist

The Site may offer a voluntary waitlist that you can join by submitting your email address. Joining is optional and based on your consent. We use a double opt-in process: submitting the form does not by itself add you to the list; we send a confirmation link to your address, and your consent takes effect and we add you to the waitlist only when you click that link. If you join, we will use your email address to contact you about noscere and the launch of our reports, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We handle your email address in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights. Please review the Privacy Policy before joining the waitlist.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Site, to our content, or to applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. The version in force is the one published on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of Romania. If you use the Site as a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country; nothing in these Terms deprives you of those rights. The competent Romanian courts have exclusive jurisdiction only for disputes with users who are not acting as consumers.
